[Daidoji Kenzo]

"Good sake from the mainland will likely open more legs than a necklace." he said with a shrug. "I don't blame people for chasing each other here though. The scenery is lovely, I haven't seen single person so far that doesn't qualify as attractive we have a lot of free time right now and we all may die. Honestly when I put it that way maybe a pearl necklace isn't a bad idea." he laughed at his own joke. "So is there anyone here that you think I should absolutely stay away from in a professional or personal sense; anyone who is just enraged they are here or who hate the Crane?"

[Koumori]

"Wouldn't be so sure of that. Sake is fine and all, but not everyone likes it as much as they do something material that will last longer than something gone in an evening." His gaze shifted around the area, taking in the view again. "You have a lot of free time today, but things start tomorrow when we've got more hands to help. Of course, what you do in your free time is your own, just don't give me a story to watch burn. It's fun with the other clans, but embarrassing with my own." Then he chuckled. "Shion-san is a waste of time and that Phoenix around here is a pompous shit who will likely demand all of your attention and will actually probably set your things on fire if she isn't your sole focus here. At the same time, if you like being loyal and can deal with her, then she's not a bad pick. Considering everyone is trying to get multiple notches, she's not one to go for though because of it."

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"And so your just observing, no fun for you?"

[Koumori]

"Look, I've gotten burned enough to know it's not fun. Love playing with fire, but not so much getting burned and all I see out here is chances to get burned. Not interested in it. Only at winter court will I do that. Not on a secluded island with who knows what."

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"Too many eyes and ears at a Winter Court for me, at least here there is something nearing privacy is you can find someone to play with that isn't a gossip but I also understand your position. I'm not here looking for a good time but if someone wants to show me one well... Anyway I have about a hundred questions about this place and the previous expeditions into the island's core, who if anyone should I ask those questions? "

[Koumori]

"You really think you get privacy out here with all of the patrols and scouts?" He chuckled and shook his head. "But I get your meaning. Anyway, if you're wanting to know about the previous expeditions then you'll want to either talk to the Moto or the grand Miya herself. Both of them know what happened previously, or at least mostly."

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"More privacy than someone would find at a winter court at Kyuden Doji. I should probably speak with both of them but I'm unsure what the protocol and chain of command here are."

[Koumori]

"At least it's not Kyuden Bayushi. Castle of paper and ink." He chuckled softly, enjoying his joke. "Moto-sama probably would be best to talk with first. Miya-sama is typically too busy for things like that most days."

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"The Moto, hmm, he seems like a hard one, focused. The Unicorn are known for their compassion but he seems like the type who hasn't smiled in years. Any advice on how to ask him a hundred questions without annoying the piss out of him?"

[Koumori]

"Not a clue. I think the usual method of not insulting him or his clan would work pretty well. Outside of that? I can only assume that giving the usual stuff like dried meats and that milk thing they've got would work, if you want to play by stereotypes." He shrugged.

[Daidoji Kenzo]

You know, there was a Doji on the boat over with me, she's an ikebana artisan so you may want to keep the fire and burning talk to minimum. She wasn't the most sea-sick person on the boat but she does seem pretty delicate. I'm guessing she's going to study the plants here. Or just make the encampment more hospitable."

[Koumori]

"I've been asked a lot to keep it to a minimum and I don't care. Let the Doji faint or whatever it is that she'd do, but I am not going to change my manners for some delicate person that decided an untamed island was their best bet." He said with a roll of his eyes. It was not surprising that he was stationed here, decently far from anywhere he could do harm. And in the middle of his greatest weakness: water.

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"Of course Kasai-sama."

Touched a nerve there.

"Is there anything else you feel I should, any duty you wish of me beyond what the clan and expedition demand?"

[Koumori]

"No, I can't say there is. That seems to be everything and if it isn't, that means it wasn't important enough to be remembered. So, feel free to go about your day as you feel fit to, Daidoji-san." He bowed.
