"Well, perhaps it needs to be considered by those that set fashion trends? Flattering clothing is welcome by most I imagine."

[Daidoji Kenzo]

" I don't think I know anyone who sets fashion trends." he laughed

[Miya Akari]

"Neither do I. Although fashion is low on most inhabitants lists here," she says. "Perhaps you can set trends with your puppets?"

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"I think you stand a better chance of setting island fashion standards then I do" he said with a chuckle. "My general attitude towards clothing generally being either boringly practical or borderline indecent. I just hope all the salt in the air doesn't eat holes in all the silk." he clearly didn't know if salt could do that but was concerned that it could none the less.

[Miya Akari]

"I tend towards practical over fashionable as well," she agrees with a nod. "And the salty sea air hasn't done anything to hurt things as far as I can tell."

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"Well that is good, it would be bad if some curious daimyo came out here and we were all in rags."

He wondered if they had the same idea of what was considered practical when it came to swimwear.

"I do hope we find a large source of fresh water on the island. Who gets to name things we discover anyway?"

[Miya Akari]

"That's up to Hiruka-sama. She is the keeper of the official map. If she asks for the person that located something to name it then I suppose it's the discoverer," she said.

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"Well if I happen to discover some sort of pit or sinkhole by falling to my death in it please ask her to consider naming it Kenzo's Folly." he laughed. "What should we name after you?"

[Miya Akari]

"I don't need anything named for me. Besides, most people would likely just assume it was named for a plum anyway," she said with a chuckle.

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"That would be confusing if we found a grove of Akari trees in there, Akari's Grove is a fun inside joke but wouldn't bring you any glory if that's something you care about."

[Miya Akari]

"It isn't. Accomplishing my duty is most important. I have no need for recognition or fame. Are you hoping to name every feature of the island so they have no choice but to start calling it Kenzo island?

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"No, no, just a random thought thought I had. Just being picked to come here is recognition enough for me. I will do my duty till the day I die but maintaining trenches to slow down Lion cavalry isn't exactly exciting. Even if I die here it will be an adventure."

[Miya Akari]

She smirks ed at that. "I don't know. Kenzo Island isn't too bad a name."

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"No but I would have to do something unimaginably heroic to deserve that, and I still think I would rather visit Akari Island. It sounds like something from a fable, full of tasty treats."

[Miya Akari]

"It would be if I had my way. The forest would be replaced with an orchard," she says with a nod. "All the fruit you can eat."

[Daidoji Kenzo]

This is hard, I'm out of practice. Better just stop for now.

"Don't be so quick to cut the forest down, there might be something delicious waiting for us out there. On an unrelated topic, do you have a bokken here with you? I wonder if you wouldn't mind practicing with me at some point."

[Miya Akari]

"I do not have a bokken, but there are Akodo-san likely has some we can use outside of his squads normal training hours," she says with a nod. "I would definitely be interested in sparring though."

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"Excellent, I look forward to it. I'm likely not as skilled as others you have trained with but don't be gentle with me, I like a little pain."

That one was a bit more obvious. She smirked at that. Wasn't exactly her thing, causing or enjoying pain, but she had been with a man once that did.

"Not me. I don't mind being exhausted and sweaty, but I don't look forward to bruising or soreness. I prefer when I exercise for it to be hard, but fulfilling."

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"I am no fan of being injured." he laughed and held a hand to his eye for a moment. "But a few scratches and bruises can be very informing about what your doing right... .... I mean wrong."
