Not sure how many know, and it's not a secret to everybody (so no rupees for you), but I started teaching high school last month. I've been playing a hell of a game of catch-up, and shit keeps getting sprung on me.

First year--and a late start--teaching high school; I taught college English for thirteen years prior. It's a different beast, certainly, but many of the skills are transferrable.

Again, though, the problem is playing catch-up because I came in late. It'll work out, but it hasn't worked out yet.

I had a lead teacher quit at the end of the first week of classes and had my assigned classes change three times in the first month- just remember, they're unlikely to actually kill you

Hell, there're even some who're looking to put together an RPG club on campus, which they'd like me to sponsor.

Eats a lot of time, though, and I miss y'all.

To add to that fun:
I'm not named in it, but there's been a formal complaint lodged against the school where I teach. Some students' mamma is pitching a fit and trying to get money, claiming (among others) that we're not following the IEP for her babies...and I teach one such. So that was fun yesterday.
