"That seems like a terrible fate, what do I have to do to get that kind of treatment?"

[Shiba Yukari]

"Well. A steady supply of flowers would be a start, if you're actually interested. I like keeping my hand in."

[Daidoji Kenzo]

You could say that

"So let me see if I have this right. I'm going to personally see to the protection of the giant salamanders, help get better at swimming, gather wood for a shrine, gather flowers, find a smart friendly animal for you to talk and gather you some pearls to all while helping tame a wild and dangerous island. You are a really good negotiator aren't you?"

[Shiba Yukari]

"Or you're cunningly feigning weakness..."

She smiled.

"I thought overwhelming people with charm was meant to be a Crane specialty?"

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"Not so much for the Daidoji besides I could never compete with your level of charm and grace, and your too cunning to fall for it if I tried. No with you I much prefer honesty, I've been honest this entire time so I know you will believe me when I say that this has been the most wonderful dinner I have had in a very long time."

[Shiba Yukari]

"Funny you should say that, Kenzo-san, I've likewise found it one of my better meals in recent memory."

She smiled again.

"But perhaps we'll find ways to excel it in the days ahead."

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"I certainly hope so Yukari-san, this has been a great day but there is still room for things to get better. I like making new memories and this certainly counts as one, maybe tomorrow at the cove we can make another one."

[Shiba Yukari]

"I look forward to it, Kenzo-san. It will be... interesting to try my hand at swimming, if nothing else. But I think I will leave the diving to yourself and Miya-sama."

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"She's not much of a diver herself actually, it will probably just be me so I won't do it for long. I'm a scout so I will probably just scout it out and see what i can see down there, the rest of time I plan to be with the two of you doing whatever we find entertaining. Akari-sama seems to be very fond of fishing so maybe I will make afire and we can cook what she catches and have a little meal there."

[Shiba Yukari]

"She mentioned helping me learn to fish, so perhaps that will be the plan..."

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"We fish, we swim, we play, we eat all while keeping an eye on the salamanders. Sounds like a memory in the making to me. But that's tomorrow and we're here now so tell me, what do you HOPE we find on this island? I mean wildest fantasy type wish."

[Shiba Yukari]

She bit her lip as she thought.

"Lady Doji, if I'm being asked to come up with the most... extreme hope. I hope we find Lady Doji, waiting for us."

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"That would be something all right and would explain the disappearances because who would want to leave a Kami's presence. What is your worst case scenario then? "

[Shiba Yukari]

Yukari shivered a bit, and got as close to nasty subjects as she liked to let herself.

"Her brother."

She wasn't about to say which one, of course. She figured a guy who knew the story of Shiba's last battle would be able to know she meant Fu Leng without her saying it.

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"Mmm, indeed, that would be a terrible thing to find here."

"Lucky for me I have a descendant of Shiba-kami to protect me."

Change the subject

"You know, you mentioned your love for flowers, have you met Doji Hanatsuko yet? I think you two would get along very well."

[Shiba Yukari]

Since Yukari's player wasn't sure if Yukari was going to meet Hanatsuko earlier in the day or not, an educated guess was made.

"Only briefly... at least I wasn't seasick this time."

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"She has a very special relationship with plants and strikes me as a gentle soul I am sure you two will be fast friends."

[Shiba Yukari]

Yukari visibly brightened.

"That sounds ideal, actually..."

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"She may be the only person here more eager than me to get out into the forest, I spent half the day out there just on the edges and just as I was about to return here I found her out in the twilight talking to the trees."

[Shiba Yukari]

"Oh, is she also a shugenja?"
