[D4 EA Open] Thunder and Flowers

[Doji Hanatsuko]

After finishing her ikebana, Hana came to the cove with the arrangement at hand. The girl looked at the horizon and said a small prayer to the fortune of Thunder and FIre. The Doji placed the arrangement on the coastal line and allowed the tide to slowly pick it up. "Hopefully this will help."

[Miya Akari]

Akari also visited the cove. She wanted to take a swim, but knew that the approaching storm would make the current and waves stronger than normal. Noticing the Doji, she approached with a smile. "An offering?" she asks, looking at the arrangement as it was being taken. "It's lovely."

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"Ah..." The Doji nodded. "Yes an offering in hopes that the storm is not as strong."

[Miya Akari]

The miya lowers her head and offers a prayer of her own. "Hopefully nobody will be injured. The storms can toss around debris pretty strongly."

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"I just want to do something impossible and try to bring peace to a fortune's heart." She said with a bit of sadness. "If it helps just a tad I will be glad that it helped." Hana nodded to the distance. "I feel somewhat useless with my art here."

[Miya Akari]

"Your art isn't useless here. This place simply lacks the infrastructure and means to fully appreciate it right now. I think your presence will change that," she says with a warm smile.

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"My ikebana is supposed to be used to stir the human souls... And here I am trying to stir a storm." Hana sighed. "I doubt it will be fully appreciated... even if the infrastructure was optimal."

[Miya Akari]

"The soul of a storm is no less worthy of appreciation or attempts at swaying it. It's just a more difficult prospect," Akari replies. "But difficulty does not make a thing less worthy of pursuit. I think it's beautiful to try and hope that the storm sees the beauty that you choose to share with it."

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"If things are still standing we should celebrate." Hana looked at the arrangement that continued to drift in the waves. "If not we should rebuild and see that the next time would be better."

[Miya Akari]

"A celebration would be nice. To thank the fortunes for their mercy," Akari replied with a nod. "Assuming it's all still here for us to celebrate. But I think it will be just fine. A little bit of damage as always, but not too much would be my guess."

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"Yes... it would be nice if they show mercy to those who live here." She nodded. "For now we just pray and prepare for the worse. Hoping for the best result that we can obtain."

[Miya Akari]

"I'm curious. Do you usually have trouble sleeping through storms? I have some teas that are good at helping with that if you like. Because it will be loud."

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"A bit... I tend to get tense as the lightening flashes make me sick." She frowned. "I don't like how I feel during storms. Your tea is most welcomed."

[Miya Akari]

"Happy To share it," she replied warmly. "That is the true purpose of tea in my opinion. Tho be shared with others to help bring them together."

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"Same with my flowers. They are to be shared as gifts made to elate the soul and stir hearts." She said with little emotion, it was like she had practiced those words for many years that had lost their meaning.

[Miya Akari]

"And you do so capably," she replied, looking to the arrangement on the waves. "Beautifully actually. Have you always been drawn to flowers or was it something you learned in the dojo?"

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"I have always had an inclination to the plants... flowers just made my life a bit easier back in my younger years." She nodded. "I found solace in them."

[Miya Akari]

"That is good. It's always nice to have a passion we enjoy and identify with. I'm glad that you have that," she said, smiling. "Not everyone is so fortunate to work with what they connect to personally."

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"Sadly it has also been my demise. Makes me be... odd and disliked... even a bit disconnected from what a human should be." The girl sighed. "Do you have something to go back to when you are feeling down?"

[Miya Akari]

"Well, you do tend to seem a bit sad. But then occasionally you smile and it makes my day a little brighter Doji-san," Akari says with a smile.

"Whenever I am feeling down I like to find someone I like and spend time with them. Other people make me happy, even if they are feeling down."
