[D3 EA] Planning a Ceremony

[Miya Akari]

"So, should we go over it?" she asks. "There likely isn't much that I can do for planning, but if you tell me how to assist I can follow instructions."

[Shiba Yukari]

"We'll need an audience- I could do a ritual by myself, but it's as much about the community as anything else. I'll be making use of a prayer I know to speak with the salamanders, so I'd like a representative example on hand. Hopefully, I can convince one to attend. We should get some offerings of... whatever it is they eat...."

Yukari was clearly thinking out loud as far as this went.

[Miya Akari]

Akari was listening intently. "Most lizards like them eat bugs i think? Not sure about these though."

[Shiba Yukari]

"Insects, worms, but creatures of their size? Maybe fish? I honestly don't know."

[Miya Akari]

"Maybe the little crabs that crawl around the beach there?"

[Shiba Yukari]

"I'd need to ask..."

[Miya Akari]

"Well, that is beyond my abilities," she says with a smile. "I'm better with people than salamanders."

[Shiba Yukari]

"Oh, so am i... so far..."

[Miya Akari]

"I can't speak to how you are with salamanders, but you are wonderful with people," Akari replies with a smile.

[Shiba Yukari]

Yukari winked.

"If you count garden newts, I still have vastly more experience with the one than the other."

[Miya Akari]

"Well, we'll need to expand your breadth of experience then, won't we?" she asks as she starts making her way down the hall. Smiling and indicating that Yukari should join her with a little wave.

[Shiba Yukari]

Yukari fell in step with a smile.

"That does seem to be a pattern in my life of late..."

[Miya Akari]

"Always learning is the best way to live, I've found. Finding a new tea, trying a new meal..." she leaned in and spoke softer, "...discovering a new way to leave you breathless."

[Shiba Yukari]

"By all means..."

She cleared her throat.

"Of course, there'll be plenty of new in this ritual, since I'm a little short on guidance..."

[Miya Akari]

"l look forward to it then. Everything about the island is new for us. May as well perform new rituals, no?"

[Shiba Yukari]

"True enough. You've been here longer... is there any time of day these salamanders seem to be particularly active?"

[Miya Akari]

"Not that I have taken notice of. I have not been studying them in depth though," she replied with a shrug, though followed it with a smile. "Something we can do together if you like."

[Shiba Yukari]

"Might have to put it in ahead of the painting lesson I had planned."

Which was something socially acceptable they could do together down the line anyhow.

[Miya Akari]

"Well, I am going to be looking for any opportunity I can to ensure the safety of the salamanders, and to spend time with you," she says with a playful smile. "So doing both at the same time is a pretty good deal for me."

The smile then turns mischievous. "Painting in a traditional style or with a more hands on approach."

[Shiba Yukari]

"Well."

Yukari blushed and glanced sidelong at her lover.

"Perhaps both, but not where everyone can see..."
