[D1 LA] Imperial Welcome

[Miya Akari]

"Really? I thought those were just in stories," she replied excitedly. "How lucky you are. Perhaps it was a sign of the fortunes approval of your talents in the garden?"

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"Or a sign of their disproving of this one." She shook her head. "That garden was burned a week later by bandits."

[Miya Akari]

"Oh no," Akari replied, saddened by that. "I'm sorry that happened. Perhaps it was meant to be a lesson from the fortunes about fleeting beauty? Though that would be a bit cruel."

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"Not to worry, Miya sama." The Doji sighed. "It happens from time to time."

[Miya Akari]

"Bandits destroying gardens?" She asked, curious. "This is the first I've ever heard of such a thing."

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"It was actually the house that came with the garden. Fire does propagate quite quickly." The Doji sighed as she remembered the screams and the crying of her plants. She took her fan out and made a reverence as she brought it up to hide a tear that fell.

[Miya Akari]

"I am sorry you had to go through that. I hope that you were not hurt and that justice found those bandits." She seems a bit upset by that.

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"I hope so too." The Doji kept her fan out but lowered it as her hair covered her shame. She averted the Miya's face to try her best to handle her emotions. "Try not to worry about such things."

[Miya Akari]

"My duty is to worry over others, so trying not to do so would not be very good no?" she says with a sad smile. "Well, there should be no issues with bandits here. They'd have to go out of their way to sail here, only to arrive at an island with very few goods to take. Braving the sea both ways for the poor opportunity."

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"I really don't worry that much about anything anymore." She sighed. "It has been ill advised. As for bandits, one can only hope that none is a stowaway in one of the ships or if a pirate ship is maroon on this island they are not to pillage and set on fire what has been made here." She had recovered her on.

[Miya Akari]

"And it is good for you not to worry. It is bad for me to not worry though. Always watching and listening, sensing what is going on, observing my surroundings. Even now, I feel a small bit of it for the people in this room. A dangerous spider or snake may make it's way in here and bite someone. A stiff wind might knock this building over..." She smiled softly.

"I would not wish any who have come here to aid in Hiruka-sama's goals to come to harm in any way. So I will worry."

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"It is an honor then to have such good watch on our side." She nodded. "I hope that my words are just that."

[Miya Akari]

Akari takes a piece of tuna, and smiles before eating it.

"Perhaps, if it wouldn't be too much an imposition, you might teach me more about flowers? I know some that grow on edible plants, but very little of the more decorative types."

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"Of course Miya sama, it is no imposition at all." The Doji nodded. "I would be honored to show you... I have some paintings in my pillow book that may help with me teaching you about them."

[Miya Akari]

"We shall have to schedule a time to sit down and do so. It will be an undoubtedly lovely time." Akari looks pleased with that. "So you keep your own record of flowers you work with?"

[Doji Hanatsuko]

The Doji nodded. "I do... and make paintings of some of my arrangements." The Doji gave it some thought. "I am at your service Miya sama when you are able I have a very open schedule."

[Miya Akari]

She nods at that. "I look forward to it Doji-san. I'm curious if there are any questions you might have about the island or myself."

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"Well what are good safe places that one can paint besides the beach?" She wondered if there other attractions in the island that she was unaware off.

[Miya Akari]

"The beach, cove and docks by the water. Here and the inn. The command center building and forge would be safe but would also usually be busy as well. The edge of the forest is okay if you don't head in alone. Otherwise, much of it is wild, untamed. Venomous spiders and snakes around, so keep your eyes open for them."

[Doji Hanatsuko]

Not much plants in those areas... I guess I should stay to the edge of the forest. "I see... be wary of spiders and snakes... yes"
