Akari entered the command center, looking for the boss. She was hoping to speak with her about permission to more fully investigate the potential issue of salamander smuggling.

Hiruka was there and buried under half-created maps that she had started to work on, but had messed up as she tried to lay out the foundation. When the other Miya entered, she looked up and arched a brow. "Good afternoon. Is there something I can help you with?"

The Miya subordinate bows respectfully to her boss and charge.
"There is Hiruka-sama. A small concern of Asako Qi-san. She suspects individuals may be smuggling the giant salamanders off the island and I was hoping to secure permission to look into the issue," Akari stated plainly. "Hopefully it's an unfounded worry, but Asako-san is worried about maintaining spiritual balance on the island and I wish to help her with that if I can."

It was at that, that she set the map down that she was looking at and put her full attention on Akari. "Smuggling... salamanders?" A thin brow was arched in a mixture of confusion and amusement. "I can't imagine that there would be much to be found since the ship just left a few days ago. Now their focus, if this is happening, would be going to the cove to gather more. But, do you trust that this is actually happening?"

"I do not know one way or the other, since I've only just returned. But I would like to look into it to determine the possibility. If only to set Asako-san's mind at ease that nothing of the sort is happening," Akari replied.

She looked at her closely for a moment, but then nodded. "Alright, but do not go around needlessly harassing the fishermen or whoever. We do still need them to work, so only if you feel as if it's necessary."

"Of course, Hiraku-sama," Akari replies with a respectful bow. "And what about yourself? Is there anything that you would like me to assist with? You know I'm at your disposal even beyond the scope of what's expected. I would see this mission go well."

"Ah, no thank you, Miya-san. Your time shall come, however. I do have some plans in the works. Another expedition into the forest. Further now, as Asako-san seems to have found a way to help with the disorienting nature of the forest." She said before starting to straighten up some of the maps on her desk.

"That sounds like promising news," Akari replied. "It will be nice to make some good headway and get some accurate maps." She seems to be thinking positively.

"That is what I hope for. Whether it happens or not is remaining to be seen. Of course, even with her magic, it won't completely get rid of the danger. Just lessen it. However, she has mentioned believing that there is something likely towards the center of the island that's causing these issues." She murmured, eyes now back on the parchment in front of her as she sketched out the loose boundaries of the island.
