Perhaps as expected, Moto Mura stood ready with a bow on his back and stern look upon his wrinkled face. There were no weapons or traps ready to be set out here, as he expected anyone deciding this to have what they needed already.

Hunting thread here. This one is a bit weirder. So, you can find rabbits and squirrels with ease. As always, don't overhunt. However, if you want to catch a deer, PM me and I'll roll a chance die to see if you can find one that's not too deep into the forest.

Kenzo had to run back to his room and change when he heard the announcement. When he arrived at the Moto's side he was fully geared in plain brown clothes and carrying all his hunting gear including a bow and things for making snares.
He bowed to the Unicorn. "Good morning Moto-sama, I hope the day finds you well and that Inari-kami has blessed you. I wonder if we might hunt together and I could pick your brain about a few things as a we travel."

Mura looked over the Daidoji briefly before bowing.
"This isn't the time for chatting or picking brains, Daidoji-san. If you wish to ask me something, then do it later." He rumbled in a deep voice. "We are here with a duty to perform and one that requires silence."

Kenzo knew how to take such an order and wasn't really surprised by the Unicorn's terse response. He bowed in acknowledgement of the command give him and silently crept into the brush.

Re: (D2, MM, Hunting) What Will Be Found?
Kenzo had only placed two snares when he saw the tracks and nothing else mattered after that. He was right about the old tracks he found the day prior, there were wild pigs on the island and judging by the tracks he was looking at there was a big one in the area. He stowed his bow, with his eyesight it would only get him maimed if it charged him.
Sneaking up to the boar was the easy part, he was down wind of it and silent as a grave. He had to swing around to the upwind side to get behind it which risked it might smell him but he he moved fast enough that it never had time. Kenzo swung with all his might, hoping to fell the thing immediately but it chose that moment to flop down and scratch its side on a rock making him miss barely. The sound startled the boar and it reared up to charge him but Kenzo was quick to react and carved a deep gash into it’s neck just before it collide with his left knee. Sending him off his feet. He recovered, cursing himself for not retreating to the trap he’d set and had to scramble up a tree to avoid another charge.
The boar was big and very angry, now would have been a great time for his bow but he didn’t trust that he could fell the beast before it ran off and didn’t want to risk it running into the deep where he couldn’t chase it. He couldn’t let it escape, a boar this size could be stretched into multiple meals or serve as a feast that night so before the creatures rage faded he acted. With his katana held in a firm grip he dropped from the tree right onto the boar’s back, plunging the sword clean through the base of it’s skull. Had it lived he would have been in for the ride of his life but thankfully nothing but a few weak jitters that did little to shake him loose.
When he was sure it was over he climbed off the thing and shook out his limbs. The hit to his knee hurt and would leave a hell of a bruise but it didn’t do any serious damage. It took an good 15 minutes for Kenzo to bind his catch for travel, it was too big for him to carry long so he used rags, leaves and rope to stop it from leaving a blood trail right back the village and started dragging it.
On his way back he passed his two snares, finding a young and scared bunny in one of them, it had only just started to gnaw at it’s trapped leg to escape it’s fate. Considering the boar the be a major windfall for the village he snatched up the bunny and carefully removed the snare before letting it loose, it may be too hurt and scared to live long but it had a chance.
The thing was heavy and Kenzo was still soft from his long travels so it was late in the hour when he finally returned, nearly out of breath he spoke. “Moto-sama, I brought dinner.” he beamed joyfully. “Where should I take this?” he moved aside so his catch could be seen and dropped the rope, bending over to catch his breath.

Mura seemed impressed when he saw the kill and nodded. "So you have. We were worried that you had gone too far into the forest and had gotten lost. Good to see that they were unfounded. One of my men will bring it back to the camp. We'll have one of the triplets cut it up and will eat good tonight thanks to you."
