With the tree-felling finally completed, or at least as completed as it would be today, Heiko really wanted to get the sweat and dust washed off. Lacking a bath-house or hot spring, the best option was the sea. Not ideal, but better than a rag and bucket.

She piled her clothes and belongings on the hot, dry sand, wrapped herself in a towel and waded into the water, looking forward to feeling clean.
