Hanatsuko sat on what would be the common area, looking at her pillow book filled with paintings. She had spoken Yukari about parting with this book. The Doji saw one picture and sighed. Why couldn't she find solace in these picture of the main land?

Kasai stumbled down the stairs and into the common room. His hair was a mess and it looked like the ends had been singed, but overall it seemed as if he had just woken up from a deep nap. He walked over to the innkeeper and ordered a light lunch and some tea before finally looking over the others in the room as he rubbed the sleep from his eyes.

She noted the Daidoji and nodded. "Would you accompany me Sama?" The girl smiled.

"Are you that one I was told to not mention burning the forest down around because you'd faint?" He asked plainly.

"Ah..." She frowned. "Yes... I suppose that is me." Hana closed her eyes lowering her head in shame. "I am sorry I am spoiling your fun, Daidoji san."

"Oh yes, you completely are and you should be terribly ashamed." He confirmed, not seeming to have any inclination of telling her that she wasn't an issue.

She looked at the pillow book. "You can burn this." She offered the man the pillow book. "I don't think it has anything of value nor it would have in the future." The Doji sighed.

He took the book and looked it over with a critical eye. "Why'd I want to burn the book?"

He would find watercolor paintings of different places of the main land. From Seven Folds Castle to gardens in the Asahina lands. Tsuma, a garden in Otosan Uchi.

"I don't want old memories to plague me. This place I'd for new beginnings and so I have to detach even further from the main land." Her tone was serious yet a bit of sadness could be heard.

"So, you just want me to deal with the stuff that you won't then. You could easily toss this in the kitchen fire, so why don't you?"

"I just want you to have the satisfaction of destroying something from someone who is spoiling your wish." The Doji shrugged. "Even if these memories mean less to me than the forest."

He looked at her and then rolled his eyes. "For a Doji, you certainly roll over and show your stomach at the smallest thing." He tossed the book down in front of her. "Is there something you wanted when you called me over here?"

"A cat rolls over just to play with its prey." She looked at her book. "I was told that I should meet you and know you better."

"A cat does not roll over to play with its prey. A cat revealing its stomach is a dead cat. A cat may lie on its side, grasping its prey in its claws, and then kicking with the hindlegs, but that is no more playing than stabbing someone with a knife is playing." He stated. "And whoever told you that?"

"Does it matter?" He was basically like the other Crane she had met. The girl shrugged.

"Not really, but I'm curious."

"Then why should I tell you? To satiate your curiosity? It may lead to more questions than answers." She shrugged "I doubt I am in the mood to answer them."

"Nobody is in the mood for anything on this island, but we do it anyway, don't we?"

"Perhaps it is the weather." The Doji shook her head. "I have to get used to it."

"Weather's nice though. Little cool at times, but it's a sunny beach with the occasional storms that ruins everybody's week. What don't you like about it then?"
